The history of loden is a South Tyrolean success story. For centuries, this material has been
appreciated for its qualities. Warm and breathable, it insulates against rain and always has
an excellent fit. Heiner Oberrauch, owner of the
Oberrauch Zitt shops, realised the potential of
this precious South Tyrolean handicraft and
created the Loden Museum in Vandoies in 1999.
The result is an all-round experiential place
consisting of museum, manufacture and shop.
Tradition has always been important to Oberrauch Zitt, but never forgetting the present: in
addition to classic loden and sarner, here you
can find the best of international fashion brands. It is this mixture that makes shopping at
